A Word from the Court
Failure to complete the Defensive Driving Course by your court assigned supervision date, noted in your paper provided at Traffic Court labeled "Driver Improvement School", will result in a judgment of conviction being entered against your official driving record and forfeiture of all fees. Conviction may result in the suspension of your driving privileges and may affect your automobile insurance costs.
DDC-PC is based on the same content as the National Safety Council's eight-hour, instructor-led Defensive Driving Course, DDC, the most widely used driver safety program in the world. More than 55 million drivers have learned to protect themselves on the road by enrolling in the National Safety Council's Defensive Driving Course. No other driver improvement course has a higher rate of success in reducing the severity and frequency of collisions for its graduates. The goal of the course is to train drivers in collision prevention techniques while promoting an attitude of mutual understanding, courtesy and cooperation on the road. DDC-PC uses engaging animation and graphics to teach safe driving techniques. From the convenience of their computers, DDC-PC students will analyze real driving situations, spot the hazards, and identify the correct defenses.
