WELCOME TO THE NATIONAL SAFETY COUNCIL ONLINE TRAINING CENTER

Welcome to National Safety Council's Virginia Alcohol Safety Action Program (VASAP) Directors' Association Online Defensive Driving Course. One of the educational components of VASAP is a driver improvement course for those who have been mandated to attend by a Virginia court or the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles or those that may choose to complete as a volunteer for safe driver credit.

To enroll, you must indicate your state of residence and select the reason you are taking the course. Reasons to complete this course include court ordered, DMV assigned, volunteering for point reduction or record improvement, or as part of a 12-hour court referral to a Reckless/Aggressive Driver Education Program (RADEP). Customers directed by the Court must provide documentation from the court before safe driving points can be awarded.

National Safety Council will electronically notify the VA DMV of your successful completion of the online driver improvement course and it will be posted to your driving record within 24 business hours of the completion date of the course. A certificate of completion will also be emailed to you within 24 business hours of successful completion of the course. The DMV standardized certificate, "Online Driver Improvement Clinic Certificate of Completion (DIC 552B)" is the only document that will be accepted by the Department and the Courts as proof of completion of an online driver improvement course.
