NSC DDC-NY ENROLLMENT CONTRACT
Prior to submitting a registration, the student must agree with the following terms and conditions:
  1. The student who registers for the course verifies under penalty of perjury that they alone will take and complete the course without any outside assistance. If it is discovered that the student willfully misrepresented himself, the course will be terminated and the course fee will not be refunded.
  2. NO additional fees will be charged. The purchase price of the course is for all services, including, but not limited to technical and customer support, subject matter expert mentoring, mailing of certificate of completion via first class mail, and electronic submission of completion data to the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles. A student is eligible for a full refund if the cancellation request is received prior to course completion. A student is not eligible for a refund if the course has been completed or if the student fails any of the validation requirements.
  3. After purchasing the course, the student will be contacted via email (or by phone if paying via check or fax) with their account login information.
  4. The course contains an introduction and eight sessions of content. The course has been designed to allow the student to take the course in one sitting or multiple visits. If the student exits the course prior to completion, the student can re-enter the course at the point where they left off. The minimum amount of time required in the course is 320 minutes.
  5. At several checkpoints throughout the course, the course will stop and a message will be displayed prompting the student to input a PIN number which will be automatically generated and sent via SMS to the phone or e-mail provided by the student at registration.* The student must correctly enter the pin to continue in the course. Two failed attempts to properly input the provided PIN will result in course failure and the course fee may not be refunded.
  6. This contract is not a license or sale of NSC software. It provides one-time access to NSC course content, based on the same curriculum as taught in NSC's NYS DMV approved PIRP six-hour classroom course. The online course must be completed within 30 days from the date of purchase.
  7. Course completion information will be sent electronically to the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) for all students who complete the course within 30 business days. The student understands that the personal information they provide will be used to transmit their completion notice to the DMV. If the student data provided does not match DMV records and is rejected by the DMV, the National Safety Council reserves the right to charge the student an additional $8.00 administrative processing fee to obtain the corrected information from the student and resend the notification to the DMV for proper application to the driver’s record. A water-marked National Safety Council DDC-NY Certificate of Completion will also be mailed to the mailing address you provide during course registration within 14 business days of course completion.
  8. The student agrees that he/she has reviewed all of the system requirements, as well as the privacy policy information.
  9. The student agrees that he/she has reviewed all of the PIRP benefits and limitations as described in the NYS DMV C-32A brochure.
  10. The student agrees to accept email notifications from National Safety Council about the DDC course, including renewal reminders.
  11. The course account information will be emailed immediately after the student types "I AGREE" and clicks Finish Checkout.
